Photostability of Abamectin/Zein Microspheres
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1997Abamectin, a natural product pesticide that degrades rapidly in air and sunlight, has been encapsulated with the protein zein. The result was a mineral oil suspension that included a photostabilized abamectin. After exposure to simulated sunlight, the microsphere suspension provided a several-fold increase in recoverable abamectin residue. The enhanced

Abamectin effects on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
Ecotoxicology, 2006The effect of abamectin (ABM) on rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was studied. The acute toxicity of ABM on rainbow trout was established, following the target 58-h water bath exposure of ABM concentrations from 0.6 to 4.5 microg/l, on the basis of which LD75 (4.0 microg/l) was calculated.

Pharmacokinetic properties of abamectin after oral administration in dogs
Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2021AbstractAs the introduction of concentrated cattle pour‐on products containing abamectin, there have been veterinary reports of both fatal and non‐fatal poisoning in New Zealand working dogs. Because these products are highly palatable to dogs, a toxic dose is readily ingested.

Efficacy of abamectin against nematodes in cattle
Veterinary Record, 1993Eight controlled trials were conducted, using 96 cattle of European breeds, to evaluate the efficacy of abamectin against natural and artificially acquired infections of adult and fourth-stage larvae of all the economically important gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Enhanced residual risk of abamectin induced by 6PPD: in water, soil, and vegetables.
Environmental Science: Processes & ImpactsAbamectin, one of the most widely used pesticides globally, is known for its effectiveness in protecting crops and animal health. However, the residual risk of abamectin in agricultural products and the environment may be exacerbated by other pollutants,

Uncovering hidden dangers: The combined toxicity of abamectin and lambda-cyhalothrin on honey bees.
Science of the Total EnvironmentStudying the toxic effects of pesticides on bees has consistently been a prominent area of interest for researchers. Nonetheless, existing research has predominantly concentrated on individual toxicity assessments, leaving a gap in our understanding of ...
