This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

On Topological Indices of Certain Families of Nanostar Dendrimers
A topological index of graph G is a numerical parameter related to G which characterizes its molecular topology and is usually graph invariant. In the field of quantitative structure-activity (QSAR)/quantitative structure-activity structure-property ...

On Topological Indices for New Classes of Benes Network
Topological indices (TIs) transform a molecular graph into a number. The TIs are a vital tool for quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) and quantity structure property relationship (QSPR).

Assessment Level of Severity of Environmental Disturbance Caused by Aquaculture Activities Using Abundance-Biomass Curves of Macrobenthic Assemblages [PDF]
Abundance-Biomass comparison (ABC) was applied to assess the level of environmental disturbance by the changes in the pattern of abundance and biomass of macrobenthic assemblages taken from various types of sediments. In the most sedimentary habitats,

The (ABC) Conjecture and the radical index of integers [PDF]
The author introduces a new definition: the \textit{radical index} \(\nu(n)\) of an integer \(n\) with \(|n|>1\) which is given by the formula \(|\text{rad} (n)|^{\nu(n)}=|n|\) where, as usual, \(\text{rad} (n)=\prod_{p \mid n}p\). Then this concept is used in relation to the \((ABC)\) conjecture.

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.
