ABCD transfer matrix model of Gaussian beam propagation in plano-concave optical microresonators
Plano-concave optical microresonators (PCMRs) are optical microcavities formed of one planar and one concave mirror separated by a spacer. PCMRs illuminated by Gaussian laser beams are used as sensors and filters in fields including quantum electrodynamics, temperature sensing, and photoacoustic imaging.

Reinstatement and a resurgence‐like effect in an odor‐signaled multiple schedule in rats
Abstract This study examined determinants of relapse in rats within a multiple schedule signaled by three odor stimuli (S1, S2, S3). In both experiments, reinforcement was programmed for all components in Phase A, extinction in S1 was programmed in Phase B, extinction in both S1 and S2 in Phase C, and extinction in all components in Phase D.

Simplified diagrammatic expansion for effective operator
For a quantum many-body problem, effective Hamiltonians that give exact eigenvalues in reduced model space usually have different expressions, diagrams and evaluation rules from effective transition operators that give exact transition matrix elements ...

ABSTRACT High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) have emerged as a transformative class of materials distinguished by their complex chemical compositions, unique microstructures, and remarkable mechanical and functional properties. Traditionally, the discovery and optimization of HEAs have relied on conventional methods, including trial‐and‐error experimentation ...

The influence of alcohol on prehospital diagnostics and therapy of injured patients
This matched‐pair study of 6468 trauma patients analyzed the impact of alcohol intoxication on initial prehospital assessment and treatment. Alcohol‐intoxicated patients were less accurately assessed—especially regarding head and facial injuries—which led to both over‐ and underdiagnosis.

Rearrangements and Tunneling Splittings in Small Water Clusters
Recent far-infrared vibration-rotation tunneling (FIR-VRT) experiments pose new challenges to theory because the interpretation and prediction of such spectra requires a detailed understanding of the potential energy surface (PES) away from minima.

Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model near $T=T_c$: expanding around the Replica Symmetric Solution
An expansion for the free energy functional of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) model, around the Replica Symmetric SK solution $Q^{({\rm RS})}_{ab} = \delta_{ab} + q(1-\delta_{ab})$ is investigated.

The incidence of desmoplastic melanoma (DM) in Sweden remains stable, unlike rising cutaneous melanoma rates. Despite advanced tumour features, DM patients have better survival outcomes. However, recent survival improvements are lacking, potentially due to limited treatment options compared to other melanoma subtypes.

Ab Initio Calculations of Even Oxygen Isotopes with Chiral Two- Plus Three-Nucleon Interactions
We formulate the In-Medium Similarity Renormalization Group (IM-SRG) for open-shell nuclei using a multi-reference formalism based on a generalized Wick theorem introduced in quantum chemistry.
