CT appearances of abdominal tuberculosis
Clinical Radiology, 2012The purpose of this article is to review and illustrate the spectrum of computed tomography (CT) appearances of abdominal tuberculosis. Tuberculosis can affect any organ or tissue in the abdomen, and can be mistaken for other inflammatory or neoplastic conditions.

Abdominal Tuberculosis: CT Findings
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1984The computed tomographic (CT) characteristics of intraabdominal tuberculosis are not specific. A recent article from South Africa proposed a set of criteria that included high density ascites and mesenteric involvement, consisting of thickening and adenopathy, as possible criteria for the diagnosis of tuberculous peritonitis by CT.

Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, 2001
A few studies have been reported that CT cine viewing on the CRT is superior to film-based viewing of CT images (Seltzer et al., Radiology 197 (1994) 119; Bonaldi et al., Am. J. Roentgenol. 170 (1998) 373; Tillich et al., Am. J. Roentgenol. 169 (1997) 1611). The purpose of our study is to know how to use cine viewing of abdominal CT.

Observer Variation in Abdominal CT
Investigative Radiology, 1984Observer performance in radiologic interpretation has traditionally been based upon Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis. A statistical method that evaluates the reproducibility or consistency of radiologic interpretation is presented. Since this method is not based upon pathologic verification, it cannot be used to assess accuracy of ...

CT Findings in Abdominal Actinomycosis
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1987The diagnosis of abdominal actinomycosis is difficult because of its relative infrequency and imitation of other diseases. We present four cases in which these difficulties in diagnosis were experienced and show the utility of CT in suggesting this disease.

CT of abdominal and pelvic trauma
Seminars in Ultrasound, CT and MRI, 1996CT is the diagnostic study of choice at most institutions in the evaluation of hemodynamically stable, blunt abdominal trauma. It is highly specific and sensitive in the detection and definition of the extent of most intra-abdominal and pelvic injuries.

Pediatric abdominal CT angiography
Pediatric Radiology, 2008Advancing multidetector technology offers opportunities for improved vascular assessment in children. Much of what is available deals with thoracic and central nervous system applications, with very little written about abdominal applications. That said, many of the technical aspects are similar to computed tomography (CT) angiography in these regions ...

CT angiography of the abdominal arteries
Abdominal Imaging, 1998Arterial DSA is being replaced by less invasive technique such as CTA, MRA, and color-coded duplex ultrasound. With their three-dimensional capabilities, both CTA and MRA are potent tools for imaging of the abdominal arteries that provide highly accurate and reproducible results.

Abdominal manifestations of sarcoidosis CT appearances
Clinical Imaging, 1995Sarcoidosis frequently involves the abdomen, although imaging studies often fail to demonstrate disease. The most common computed tomography (CT) findings in abdominal sarcoidosis are hepatosplenomegaly and retroperitoneal adenopathy, followed by focal low-attenuation lesions of the liver and spleen.

Abdominal Manifestations of Sarcoidosis in CT Studies
Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 1995The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the spectrum of abdominal CT findings in patients with tissue proved sarcoidosis, estimate their prevalence, and correlate abdominal findings with stage of thoracic disease.Between 1987 and 1993, 140 patients with tissue proved sarcoidosis underwent abdominal or chest CT at our institution.
