Injectable Deep Eutectic Solvent‐Based Ionic Gel With Rapid Gelation and Broad Hemostatic Functionality

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An injectable deep eutectic solvent‐based ionic gel is developed for rapid in situ gelation and broad‐spectrum hemostatic functionality. The material combines high mechanical strength, strong tissue adhesion, and antibacterial activity, demonstrating potential as an advanced biofunctional gel for emergency bleeding control and wound care.

Exercise-induced respiratory muscle fatigue: implications for performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
It is commonly held that the respiratory system has ample capacity relative to the demand for maximal O-2 and CO2 transport in healthy humans exercising near sea level.

A Sacrificial 3D Printed Vessel‐on‐Chip Demonstrates a Versatile Approach to Model Granulation Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel method that combines 3D printing and organ‐on‐chip technology enables the creation of hollow channels lined with endothelial cells through a fibroblast‐populated connective tissue matrix. The model supports stable metabolic culture conditions, angiogenic sprouting, and immune cell migration, thereby demonstrating an easy and versatile method to

Perceived Exertion During Endurance Tasks of Abdominal Muscles vs. Electrophysiological Signs of Fatigue—Are They Interchangeable?

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Abdominal muscles play a crucial role in spinal stability which may be altered by muscular fatigue. To assess the extent of current fatigue, subjective and objective parameters can be used.

Metabolomics Reveals Protection of Resveratrol in Diet-Induced Metabolic Risk Factors in Abdominal Muscle

open access: yesCellular Physiology and Biochemistry, 2018
Background/Aims: Abdominal obesity is recognized as the main reason of metabolic syndrome, which is closely related to disordered skeletal and/or abdominal muscle metabolic functions.

The effect of an abdominal muscle training program on intra-abdominal pressure

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation Medicine, 1994
The effect of 10 weeks' specific abdominal strength training (resisted trunk rotations) on intra-abdominal pressure was investigated in 10 healthy males. Isometric rotational force, trunk flexor and extensor torque and intra-abdominal pressure were measured as well as intra-abdominal pressure responses to Valsalva manoeuvres, maximal pulsed pressures ...

Assessment of the abdominal muscles at rest and during abdominal drawing-in manoeuvre in adolescent physically active girls: A case–control study

open access: yesJournal of Sport and Health Science, 2017
Background: An impact of regular physical activity (RPA) on the abdominal muscles may be significant when comparing various symptomatic groups. However, there is lack comprehensive information in this field.
