Abelian Theorem for the Distributional Stieltjes Transform

Zeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 1987
Using the notion of quasi-asymptotic behaviour at infinity of tempered distributions, we give an Abelian theorem for the distributional Stieltjes transform. It includes all known results, as well as some new ones.

General Theorems on Abelian Varieties

1983
An abelian variety is a group variety, which, as a variety, is complete. In the classical case, it is not difficult to show that topologically an abelian variety is a complex torus.

Fermat’s Theorem, I: Abelian Groups

1979
A famous and important theorem of number theory due to Fermat (c. 1640) gives, among other uses, a different way to find the inverse of a nonzero element of ℤ p , p prime. We have already seen how to find the inverse of [a] p by solving ax +py = 1, using Euclid’s algorithm and Bezout’s identity.

Some Abelian and Tauberian Theorems

1979
As an immediate application of the results of the preceding Sections we now consider briefly some Examples of what are known as Abelian and Tauberian-type Theorems. These results have found use in a variety of Applied fields.
