Study on above Ground Biomass Products from GCOM-C / SGLI

IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2018
Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) had launched new Earth observation satellite GCOM-C in the end of 2017. The core sensor of GCOM-C, Second Generation Global Imager (SGLI) has a set of along track slant viewing Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer (VNR).

Above ground biomass and biomass distribution in nursery plants of Abies grandis Lindley

Silva Gandavensis, 1983
After 3  years, significant differences exist between fast and slower growing plants  of Abies grandis Lindley.  These differences increase, absolutely and relatively, with the passing of  time. In both cases 50 % of all overground biomass is concentrated in the  needles, 30 % in the main stem and 20 % in the branches.

Water Cloud Model For Above Ground Biomass Retrival in Savanna Woodlands

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
Statistical relationship between above ground biomass and radar backscatter described by an empirical model, even it is quite strong, failed to include the physics of scattering from the target area, which hinders widespread implementation of this model for biomass retrieval.

backscatter and interferometry for estimating above- ground biomass intropical savanna woodland

2007 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2007
Tropical savannas cover 15% of the Earth's land surface and are important ecosystems in the global Carbon cycle due to their high productivity. SAR interferometry and backscatter are investigated for estimating biomass in a tropical savanna in Belize, Central America.

[Simulation of above ground biomass in Larix olgensis plantation].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2011
By the method of harvesting sampling trees, the information of aboveground biomass in 34 plots of a Larix olgensis plantation were collected, of which, the information from 29 plots was selected and fitted with stand factors and TM image RS factors, respectively to establish biomass models, and the information from the rest 5 plots was used to verify ...

Above-ground biomass and surface residue traits in soybean

The drive to increase seed yield in soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] has traditionally overshadowed the exploration of biomass partitioning and the compositional characteristics of plant residue traits such as leaves, petioles, stems, and pods. Recognizing this gap, our study aimed to investigate the variability in these traits across 32 genetically ...

RECENT APPROACHES IN ABOVE GROUND BIOMASS ESTIMATION METHODS

2012
