From Passive to Active: Self‐Propelled Colloids in Coatings Formulation and Film Formation
Small, EarlyView.Self‐propelled Janus colloids are introduced into coating formulations to overcome passive transport limitations during drying. Careful balance of particle activity and evaporation timescales results in their accumulation at both coating interfaces as well as an orientational bias at the top surface.
