Surfaces created by abrasive waterjet
2011Abrasive waterjet is one of the most rapidly improving technologal methods of cutting materials. AWJ represents cold, precise, computer controlled shape cutting without any strain. These attributes pose this technology to the position of permanent use in the future.

Finishing of structured surfaces by abrasive polishing
Precision Engineering, 2006A new polishing process for the finishing of structured optical elements was introduced by the authors. Abrasive polishing using pin type and wheel type polishing tools made of polyamide was applied to improve the surface roughness of structured molds exhibiting fly-cut and precision ground V-grooves.

Abrasion resistance of surface layers
1998A number of surface layers obtained by coating and surface treatments i.e. DLC, SiC, SiC+DLC, Al_2O_3, Al_2O_3+Phosphates, CrN, case hardening and boriding were tested both in a "dry sand / rubber wheel" apparatus and in service.
