This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Sectoral Convergence in Output Per Worker Between Portuguese Regions [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to present a further contribution to the analysis of absolute convergence (and), associated with the neoclassical theory, and conditional, associated with endogenous growth theory, of the sectoral productivity at regional level ...

Lung Microphysiological System Validates Novel Cell Therapy for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome
This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of primed mesenchymal stem cells (pMSCs) as an alternative treatment for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), based on a novel lung microphysiological system (MPS) to test the efficacy of pMSCs over the standard treatment, Dexamethasone.

Engineering the Link: From Genome Interaction Maps to Functional Insight
Advances in chromosome conformation capture have revealed the genome's 3D organization, yet its causal impact on gene regulation remains elusive. This review highlights emerging genome‐engineering tools ‐ zinc fingers, TALEs, and CRISPR‐Cas9 ‐ that enable targeted manipulation of chromatin loops to dissect structure–function relationships. It discusses

GMRES is one of the most powerful and popular methods to solve linear systems in the Krylov subspace; we examine it from two viewpoints: to maximize the decreasing length of the residual vector, and to maintain the orthogonality of the consecutive ...

A Positron Lifetime Study of Cooling and Natural Aging of Solutionized Aluminum Alloys
The process during cooling of Al–Mg and Al–Mg–Si alloys from the solutionizing temperature down to 20 °C is interrupted. These states are analyzed with positron lifetime spectroscopy to trace the processes during cooling. In different temperature ranges, two stages of vacancy loss and solute clustering are identified.

Convergence analysis of household expenditures using the absolute β-convergence method
Background: The paper examines the convergence of household expenditures, in terms of a possible usage of the standardized, rather than consumer-tailored marketing, mainly on a regional level.

Note on Absolutely Convergent Dirichlet Series [PDF]
is it true that If(s) I_k>0 for o 0 implies that (f(s))-l is also of the form (1)? In this note, an affirmative answer is supplied.3 Let P be the semigroup of positive integers under multiplication, and let l1(P) be the class of all complex functions a on P, a = { an},1 for which aIlal = I:| an| is finite.
