Neutrino oscillations in presence of diagonal elements of scalar NSI: an analytic approach

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Scalar Non-Standard Interactions (SNSI) in neutrinos can arise when a scalar mediator couples to both neutrinos and standard model fermions. This beyond the Standard Model (BSM) scenario is particularly interesting as the SNSI contribution appears as a ...

c-Axis Superfluid Response and Pseudogap in High-Tc Superconductors

open access: yes, 1999
To gain insight into the out-of-plane electrodynamics of high-$T_c$ superconduct ors we have measured the absolute values and temperature dependence of the c-a xis magnetic penetration depth $\lambda_c(T)$ for two typical single layer high -$T_c ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Dependence of Multiband Absolute Magnitudes and Color Indexes of the Tip of the Red Giant Branch Stars on Metallicity in Galactic Globular Clusters

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
The tip of the red giant branch (TRGB) stars have attracted intensive attention in recent years because their I -band absolute magnitudes, M _I , are often used for distance calibration in the Hubble constant measurements because of its almost ...

Luminosity-Colour Relations for Red Clump Stars

open access: yes, 2012
We calibrated the $M_V$, $M_J$, $M_{K_s}$ and $M_g$ absolute magnitudes of red clump stars in terms of colours. $M_V$ and $M_g$ are strongly dependent on colour, while the dependence of $M_J$ and $M_{K_s}$ on colour is rather weak.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
