RESEARCH ON MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL ABSOLUTE NODAL COORDINATE SHEAR BEAM ELEMENT BASED ON MODAL ANALYSIS (MT)

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2022
With the help of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the modal parameters of the two-dimensionally low-order beam elements and high-order beam elements based on the absolute nodal coordinate formulation were studied. The analytical solution of

High Order Cell-Centered Lagrangian-Type Finite Volume Schemes with Time-Accurate Local Time Stepping on Unstructured Triangular Meshes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a novel cell-centered direct Arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) finite volume scheme on unstructured triangular meshes that is high order accurate in space and time and that also allows for time-accurate local time stepping (LTS).

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

The Study and Application of Quadrilateral Space-Time Absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation Cable Element

open access: yesMachines
The construction of a high-order shape function is a key and difficulty for unstructured grid mesh and sliding boundary problems. In this paper, a construction method of space-time absolute nodal coordinate formulation quadrilateral cable (SACQ) is ...

Progress in mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian finite element simulation of forming processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
A review is given of a mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian finite element method for simulation of forming processes. This method permits incremental adaptation of nodal point locations independently from the actual material displacements.

Continuum Mechanics Modeling of Flexible Spring Joints in Surgical Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A new mechanical model of a tendon‐actuated helical extension spring joint in surgical robots is built using Cosserat rod theory. The model can implicitly handle the unknown contacts between adjacent coils and numerically predict spring shapes from straight to significantly bent under actuation forces.

Numerical Modeling and Analysis of Pendant Installation Method Dynamics Using Absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Accurately simulating the deployment process of coupled systems in deep-sea environments remains a significant challenge. This study employs the Absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation (ANCF) to dynamically model and analyze multi-body systems based on the

Accelerated Discovery of Topological Conductors for Nanoscale Interconnects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Copper interconnects exhibit a sharp increase in resistivity at ultra‐scaled dimensions, threatening continued miniaturization of integrated circuits. The gapless surface states of topological semimetals provide conduction channels resistant to localization.
