Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Considerations Regarding the Validity of the Prosecutor’s Procedural Documents appropriated through the Application of a Stamp Containing his Signature

open access: yesEIRP Proceedings, 2020
The absence of the prosecutor when his participation is compulsory is sanctioned with the absolute nullity of all the procedural acts conducted without his involvement.

YlmG1 is localized exclusively to the chloroplast envelope membrane and is involved in preprotein translocation in Arabidopsis thaliana

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

ENFORCEMENT OF THE RIGHT OF DEFENSE IN THE CRIMINAL TRIAL [PDF]

open access: yesChallenges of the Knowledge Society, 2019
One of the fundamental principles of the criminal trial is the principle of enforcing the right of defense, being not only an expression of the rule of law, but also a necessary condition for the efficient course of justice.

On the failure of pseudo-nullity of Iwasawa modules

open access: yes, 2004
We consider the family of CM-fields which are pro-p p-adic Lie extensions of number fields of dimension at least two, which contain the cyclotomic Z_p-extension, and which are ramified at only finitely many primes.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Sublating Kant and the Old Metaphysics: A Reading of the Transition from Being to Essence in Hegel's Logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Kant’s “transcendental” or “critical” philosophy is an instance of what can be called the “critique of immediacy.” As part of his critical project, Kant argues that one cannot merely assume that there is a reestablished harmony between thought and being.

A Characterization of the Number of Roots of Linearized and Projective Polynomials in the Field of Coefficients

open access: yes, 2019
A fundamental problem in the theory of linearized and projective polynomials over finite fields is to characterize the number of roots in the coefficient field directly from the coefficients. We prove results of this type, of a recursive nature.

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

Actos administrativos que lesionan derechos y libertades susceptibles de amparo constitucional: análisis de la doctrina de los órganos consultivos en expedientes de revisión de oficio Alej

open access: yesRevista Vasca de Administración Pública, 2013
This work undertakes the study of the damages inflicted by acts of the Administrations on rights and freedoms which can be redressed by means of constitutional complaint from a documentary corpus up to now poorly utilised by the academic literature: the ...
