Obesity subtypes and longitudinal trajectories of function over 7‐years of follow‐up: data from the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Background Obesity, defined by BMI ≥30kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA.

Clinical, histological, and serological predictors of renal function loss in lupus nephritis.

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Kidney survival is the ultimate goal in lupus nephritis (LN) management, but long‐term predictors remain inadequately studied, requiring long‐term follow‐up. This study aimed to identify baseline and early longitudinal predictors of kidney survival in the Accelerating Medicines Partnership LN longitudinal cohort.

Absolute Riesz summability factors for Fourier series [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, 1970
Let ∑an be a given infinite series and {λn} a non-negative, strictly increasing, monotonic sequence, tending to infinity with n. We write, for w > λ0,and, for r>0, we write is known as the Riesz sum of “ type ” λn and “ order ” r, andis called the Riesz mean of type λn and order r.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

When is a Time Series I(0)? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper surveys the extensive recent literature on the problems of deciding what is meant by an I(0) process, and then deciding how to test for the property. A formidable difficulty exists in the construction of consistent and asymptotically correctly

Absolute Summability Factors of Infinite Series

open access: yesCommunications, Faculty Of Science, University of Ankara Series A1Mathematics and Statistics, 1971
In this paper we have proved the follovving theorem which generalizes a the orem of Pati [M.Z. 78 (1962), 293-297] and also a theorem of Prasad and Bhatt [Duke Math. J. 24 (1957), 103-117]

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...
