CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

An absorbing boundary condition for free surface water waves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, the use of an absorbing boundary condition (ABC) is investigated for the numerical simulation of free surface water waves. An enhanced type of an ABC based on the first- and second-order Higdon boundary conditions is presented.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Pullback D-Attractor of Coupled Rod Equations with Nonlinear Moving Heat Source

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We consider the pullback D-attractor for the nonautonomous nonlinear equations of thermoelastic coupled rod with a nonlinear moving heat source. By Galerkin method, the existence and uniqueness of global solutions are proved under homogeneous boundary ...

Seismic Dynamics of Pipeline Buried in Dense Seabed Foundation

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2019
Submarine pipeline is a type of important infrastructure in petroleum industry used for transporting crude oil or natural gas. However, submarine pipelines constructed in high seismic intensity zones are vulnerable of attacks from seismic waves.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Large-Scale Modeling of Absorbing Aerosols and Their Semi-Direct Effects

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2018
Radiative effects of absorbing black carbon and mineral dust aerosols are estimated from global aerosol climate model simulations with fixed sea surface temperatures as a boundary condition.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Non-reflecting boundary conditions and tensile instability in smooth particle hydrodynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This thesis aimed at the understanding and further development of smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH). The first part described the implementations of non-reflecting boundary conditions for elastic- waves in SPH. The second part contains a stability
