Starburst evolution: free-free absorption in the radio spectra of luminous IRAS galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We describe radio observations at 244 and 610 MHz of a sample of 20 luminous and ultra-luminous IRAS galaxies. These are a sub-set of a sample of 31 objects that have well-measured radio spectra up to at least 23 GHz.

The effect of N-heterocyclic carbene units on the absorption spectra of Fe(ii) complexes: A challenge for theory

open access: yes, 2020
© the Owner Societies. The absorption spectra of five Fe(ii) homoleptic and heteroleptic complexes containing strong sigma-donating N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) and polypyridyl ligands have been theoretically characterized using a tuned range-separation ...

Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

Advanced methods in fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry [PDF]

open access: yes
Mass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful analytical technique used to characterize various compounds by measuring the mass-to-charge ratio (m/z). Among different types of mass analyzers, Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer (FT-ICR ...

Water-Mediated Electronic Structure of Oligopeptides Probed by Their UV Circular Dichroism, Absorption Spectra, and Time-Dependent DFT Calculations

open access: yes, 2020
We investigate the UV absorption spectra of a series of cationic GxG (where x denotes a guest residue) peptides in aqueous solution and find that the spectra of a subset of peptides with x = A, L, I, K, N, and R (and, to a lesser extent, peptides with x =

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Identification of HPHT-treated Hydrogen-rich Diamonds by Optical Absorption and Photo Luminescence Spectroscopy Techniques

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2018
Research on different types of brown diamonds under high temperature and high pressure and their structural characteristics is one of the most difficult and important issues in diamond research. Previous studies on hydrogen-rich diamond mainly focused on

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Molecular Characterization and Theoretical Calculation of Plant Growth Regulators Based on Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Terahertz (THz), as an advanced spectral technology, has unique absorption characteristics for most biological macromolecules. In this work, the theoretical fundamentals for the application of THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) to molecular ...
