From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Quasi‐Static to Supersonic Energy Absorption of Nanoarchitected Tubulanes and Schwarzites
Nanoarchitected energy‐absorptive Tubulanes exhibit record energy absorption under quasi‐static conditions and exceptional inelastic energy dissipation under 750 m s−1 ballistics impact, with high performance spanning strain rates of 12 orders of magnitude.

Deciphering Small Molecule Diffusion Parameters Across Light Responsive Polymersome Membranes
Light‐responsive polymersomes bearing donor–acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASAs) enable programmable control over small‐molecule transport across synthetic membranes. By systematically varying DASA density, an optimal functionalization regime is identified that maximizes light‐gated permeability.

Absorptive capacity: a proposed operationalization
Knowledge Management Research & Practice, 2011The concept of absorptive capacity has already been considerably studied from a theoretical perspective, but few, if any, attempts at operationalizing the concept have been studied in ways that would allow its full assessment. The more specific focus provided by the four dimensions identified in some recent literature – acquisition, assimilation ...

Territory’s Absorptive Capacity
Entrepreneurship Research Journal, 2013In the paper, the concept of absorptive capacity, already successfully applied to firms, is extended to territories. Territory’s Absorptive Capacity is here defined as the ability of a Region to identify, assimilate, and exploit external knowledge.

I investigate how the introduction of the absorptive-capacity hypothesis changes the results of strategic investment games with exogenous spillover. As a novelty, this paper distinguishes between two different components of R+amp;D: absorptive R+amp;D and inventive R+amp;D.

Organizational designs for absorptive capacity
Academy of Management Proceedings, 2013The vast extant literature on absorptive capacity has played little attention to the individual level and organizational design antecedents of the absorption of external knowledge, although these a...

Non-Absorptive Benefits of Absorptive Capacity
Academy of Management Proceedings, 2013Alliances can contribute to the partners’ capability development either by allowing them to learn from each other, resulting in the partner capabilities becoming more similar, or by facilitating th...

Potential Absorptive Capacity, Realized Absorptive Capacity and Innovation Performance
2019The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between potential absorptive capacity, realized absorptive capacity, and innovation performance. Drawing on the knowledge- based theory, the current research conceptualizes absorptive capacity as two distinct and separated knowledge dynamic capabilities: potential absorptive capacity and ...
