Brain Cell Type Specific Gene Expression and Co-expression Network Architectures
Elucidating brain cell type specific gene expression patterns is critical towards a better understanding of how cell-cell communications may influence brain functions and dysfunctions.

Small extracellular vesicles are a promising source of diagnostic molecules. We conducted a comprehensive study, including transcriptome profiling and RT‐qPCR validation on large cohorts of samples. Diagnostic panels enabling sensitive detection of colorectal cancer and precancerous lesions were established. Some molecules were differentially expressed

Algebraic implementation of abstract data types
AbstractStarting with a review of the theory of algebraic specifications in the sense of the ADJ-group a new theory for algebraic implementations of abstract data types is presented. While main concepts of this new theory were given already at several conferences this paper provides the full theory of algebraic implementations developed in Berlin except

PanglaoDB: a web server for exploration of mouse and human single-cell RNA sequencing data
Single-cell RNA sequencing is an increasingly used method to measure gene expression at the single cell level and build cell-type atlases of tissues. Hundreds of single-cell sequencing datasets have already been published. However, studies are frequently

Stemness properties, including quiescence, self‐renewal, and chemoresistance, are closely associated with leukemia relapse. Here, we demonstrate that DNA damage‐inducible transcript 4 (DDIT4) is induced in the hypoxic bone marrow niche and is essential for maintaining the stemness of AML1‐ETO9a leukemia cells.

Proteomic and phosphoproteomic analyses were performed on lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) tumors with EGFR, KRAS, or EML4–ALK alterations and wild‐type cases. Distinct protein expression and phosphorylation patterns were identified, especially in EGFR‐mutated tumors. Key altered pathways included vesicle transport and RNA splicing.

Nondeterminism in abstract data types [PDF]
A nondeterministic operation is characterized by the fact that its application to a given set of parameters can yield any one of several possible outcomes. This paper discusses ways to specify, implement, and reason about nondeterministic operations in the context of abstract (algebraic) data types.

The tumor microenvironment is a dynamic, multifaceted complex system of interdependent cellular, biochemical, and biophysical components. Three‐dimensional in vitro models of the tumor microenvironment enable a better understanding of these interactions and their impact on cancer progression and therapeutic resistance.
