On implementations of loose abstract data type specifications and their vertical composition [PDF]
In an approach for the implementation of loose abstract data type specifications that completely distinguishes between the syntactical level of specifications and the semantical level of models, vertical implementation composition is defined compatibly ...

Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) promote cancer growth, invasion (metastasis), and drug resistance. Here, we identified functional and diverse circulating CAFs (cCAFs) in patients with metastatic prostate cancer (mPCa). cCAFs were found in higher numbers and were functional and diverse in mPCa patients versus healthy individuals, suggesting their ...

Abstract Background and purpose For postoperative breast cancer patients, deformable image registration (DIR) is challenged due to the large deformations and non‐correspondence caused by tumor resection and clip insertion. To deal with it, three metrics (fiducial‐, region‐, and intensity‐based) were jointly used in DIR algorithm for improved accuracy ...

Cell type identification is an indispensable analytical step in single-cell data analyses. To address the high noise stemming from gene expression data, existing computational methods often overlook the biologically meaningful relationships between genes,

Applying Rule-Based Context Knowledge to Build Abstract Semantic Maps of Indoor Environments [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a generalizable method that systematically combines data driven MCMC samplingand inference using rule-based context knowledge for data abstraction. In particular, we demonstrate the usefulness of our method in the scenario of building abstract semantic maps for indoor environments.

Behavioural Categoricity of Abstract Data Type Specifications
In this note we want to present the concept of behavioural categoricity of an abstract data type specification. Intuitively, a specification is behaviourally categoric if it captures the external views the user can have on the data type.

Recessive osteogenesis imperfecta caused by LEPRE1 mutations: clinical documentation and identification of the splice form responsible for prolyl 3-hydroxylation [PDF]
: Background: Recessive forms of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) may be caused by mutations in LEPRE1, encoding prolyl 3-hydroxylase-1 (P3H1) or in CRTAP, encoding cartilage associated protein.

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Abstract Purpose Treatment planning for head‐and‐neck (H&N) cancer, in particular oropharynx, nasopharynx, and paranasal sinus cases, at our center requires noncoplanar proton beams due to the complexity of the anatomy and target location. Targeting accuracy for all beams is carefully evaluated by using image guidance before delivering proton beam ...

Tangle-tree duality: in graphs, matroids and beyond
We apply a recent duality theorem for tangles in abstract separation systems to derive tangle-type duality theorems for width-parameters in graphs and matroids. We further derive a duality theorem for the existence of clusters in large data sets.
