Pose and Pathosformel in Aby Warburg’s Bilderatlas [PDF]
look at Aby Warburg’s concept of Pathosformel, the repeatable formula for the expression of emotion, through the depiction of human pose in art. Using crowdsourcing, we annotate 2D human pose in one-third of the panels of Warburg’s atlas of art, and perform some exploratory data analysis.

Warburg Effect due to Exposure to Different Types of Radiation [PDF]
Cancer cells maintain a high level of aerobic glycolysis (the Warburg effect), which is associated with their rapid proliferation. Many studies have reported that the suppression of glycolysis and activation of oxidative phosphorylation can repress the growth of cancer cells through regulation of key regulators.

Iodine‐Doped Sodium Vanadate Cathode for Improved Zn Ion Diffusion Kinetics
An iodine‐doping strategy is developed to modify the Na2V6O16·3H2O cathode for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries, effectively reducing the electrostatic interaction between zinc ions and the host structure. This modification enables faster diffusion and higher storage capacity of zinc ions. Abstract The electrostatic interaction between zinc ions and the host

Understanding Multi‐Stage Charge Storage on Nanoporous Carbons in Zn‐Ion Hybrid Capacitors
Porous carbons with tunable pore sizes are synthesized to investigate the impact of pore size on charge storage in Zn‐ion hybrid capacitors. An unusual multi‐stage charge storage mechanism is revealed, involving a transition from capacitive Zn2+ ion storage to faradaic Had adsorption on the carbon surface, providing new insights into Zn‐ion ...
