An Analysis Method of AC-AC Direct Converters by Using Switch Matrix

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Industry Applications, 1999
This paper proposes an analysis method of AC-AC direct converters which are Matrix converter et, al.. The proposed analysis method, is described by a switch matrix and instantaneous space vectors of the input voltage and the output voltage, is uniformly able to analyze the characteristics of the AC-AC direct converters, because the output voltage range

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Prediction and analysis of energy demand of high energy density AC/DC park based on spatial static load forecasting method

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The fast economic development of China in recent years is raising demand for construction of AC/DC power supply park with high power consumption density. This correspondingly requires grid to forecast the load of these AC/DC power supply park to be built.

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

Improving QC Relaxations of OPF Problems via Voltage Magnitude Difference Constraints and Envelopes for Trilinear Monomials

open access: yes, 2018
AC optimal power flow (AC~OPF) is a challenging non-convex optimization problem that plays a crucial role in power system operation and control. Recently developed convex relaxation techniques provide new insights regarding the global optimality of AC ...

Domain associated with zinc fingers‐containing NF90‐NF45 complex inhibits m6A modification of primary microRNA by suppressing METTL3/14 activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NF90–NF45 functions as a negative regulator of methyltransferase‐like 3/14 (METTL3/14)‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) modification on primary microRNAs (pri‐miRNAs). NF90–NF45 binds to anti‐oncogenic pri‐miRNAs and inhibits their m6A modification, thereby suppressing the biogenesis of anti‐oncogenic miRNAs.

Modeling of AC Losses in High-speed PMSM Windings: Methods, Challenges, and Prospects

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems
High-speed permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) have recently been widely applied in various applications. However, due to the increased rotor speed and operating frequency increase, the winding AC losses rise substantially, posing risks to the ...

Patterns of Nonlinearity in the Ratio of Stimulus Accommodative Convergence to Accommodation

open access: yes, 1996
Background: This study disputes the assumption that the stimulus accommodative convergence to accommodation (AC/A) ratio is linear. Subjects and Methods: Accommodative convergence induced by minus lenses of varying power (-1.50 to -6.00DS, at intervals

Anticancer sensitivities and biological characteristics of HCT116 cells resistant to the selective poly(ADP‐ribose) glycohydrolase inhibitor

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed alterations of PAR metabolism‐related proteins in PARG inhibitor‐resistant HCT116RPDD cells. Although PARG levels remained unchanged, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited reduced PARP1 and ARH3 expression and elevated PAR levels. Interestingly, HCT116RPDD cells exhibited slightly elevated intracellular NAD+/NADH and ATP levels. Our findings suggest a

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.
