Effects of Class Standing on Academic Adjustment

A survey measuring academic adjustment was administered to 539 lower- and upperclassmen. Analysis of responses indicated, as expected, that academic adjustment was better for upperclassmen than for lowerclassmen. The results were discussed in terms of maturation.
