Fast‐track to functional human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)‐derived neurons: This colony‐initiated differentiation approach induces neurogenin 2 overexpression in dense hiPSC colonies (day 0), resulting in a structural reorganization of the colonies (day 2) before they are replated as single cells.

Giant Magnetostriction in Ferrimagnetic SmFe5As3

Controlling Heterogeneous Catalysis With Subsurface Oxygen

During CO oxidation on rhodium surfaces, the reaction dynamics are markedly altered in the presence of subsurface oxygen. Subsurface oxygen stabilizes the nascent physisorbed CO2 formed after the surface reaction, allowing it to become transiently trapped and thermalize with the surface.

A Dithio Vinylthio C2 Synthon Enabling Crystalline and Luminescent Sulfur‐Decorated Polymers

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Transforming CaC2 into a modular C2 building block enables the synthesis of α,ω‐bis(vinylthio) monomer and its conversion into crystalline, sequence‐defined sulfur‐decorated polymers. Their dense thioether clustering induces nonconventional luminescence and provides structure–function control in a more‐sustainable polymer platform.

This study presents toroidal‐dipole (TD)‐driven polarisation‐selective quasi‐bound states in the continuum (quasi‐BICs) in all‐dielectric metasurfaces, enabling transverse magnetic (TM)‐selective excitation with ultrahigh quality factors and wide‐angle‐stable polarisation‐dependent near‐field imaging.
