Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Advancing Stroke Clinical Trials Using Community Engagement and Implementation Science Approaches

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stroke clinical trials are essential for advancing stroke care but can face challenges with recruitment, retention, clinical relevance, and translation into real‐world practice. We propose that integrating community engagement and implementation science approaches into stroke trials can help address these needs.

From Quarter to All: Accelerating Speculative LLM Decoding via Floating-Point Exponent Remapping and Parameter Sharing

open access: yesCoRR
Large language models achieve impressive performance across diverse tasks but exhibit high inference latency due to their large parameter sizes. While quantization reduces model size, it often leads to performance degradation compared to the full model. Speculative decoding remains lossless but typically incurs extra overheads.

Correspondence of cosmology from non-extensive thermodynamics with fluids of generalized equation of state

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
We show that there is a correspondence between cosmology from non-extensive thermodynamics and cosmology with fluids of redefined and generalized equation of state.

Building a Framework for Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in the Rheumatology Context: Content and Approaches

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
People with systemic autoimmune and rheumatic diseases (SARDs) are at higher risk than the general population of experiencing adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes such as preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, and maternal and/or fetal death.

Obesity Subtypes and Longitudinal Trajectories of Function Over Seven Years of Follow‐Up: Data From the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Obesity, defined by body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA ...

Increasing the Glen–Nye Power‐Law Exponent Accelerates Ice‐Loss Projections for the Amundsen Sea Embayment, West Antarctica

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Abstract Glacier flow is typically modeled using a power‐law rheology known as the Glen–Nye flow law, with the power assumed to be 3. However, recent research and past observations suggest that may better represent ice flow in some locations.

Interaction of an Acceleration Wave with a Strong Shock in Transient Pinched Plasma

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
In this paper, the evolution of an acceleration wave for the system of partial differential equations describing one dimensional, unsteady, axisymmetric motion of transient pinched plasma has been considered.
