Response Spectrum for Green Light-Induced Acceleration of Heading in Wheat cv. Norin 61
The response spectrum for green light induced-acceleration of heading in wheat cv. Norin 61 was investigated using narrow-bandwidth (10 nm) green light within the range of 520–550 nm. Heading was observed from approximately 30 days after emergence. The earliest heading was observed at 540 nm, which suggests the presence of a green light photoreceptor ...

The Acceleration Response Spectrum for Simulated Strong Motions Considering the Earthquake Characteristics of the Korean Peninsula [PDF]
The response spectrum is one of the important basic materials for the aseismic design. Numerous strong ground motions based on the seismic source characteristics for the earthquakes occurring in the Korean Peninsula were simulated to obtain the response spectra by using the computer program, SMSIM, developed by Boore (2005).

Study on the influence of the seafloor soft soil layer on seismic ground motion [PDF]
In the complex medium system of the sea area, the overlying seawater and the surface soft soil have a significant impact on the seafloor ground motion, which brings great seismic risk to the safety of offshore-engineering structures.

A Semi-Analytic Method to Estimate the Response Spectrum of the Synthetic Acceleration Records with Evolutionary Spectrum [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a semi-analytic procedure for deriving the response spectrum of the synthetic acceleration records generated using the Double Frequency Model (DFM). DFM is a filtered white noise method for fully non-stationarity synthetic acceleration records.

Effects and mechanisms of ground vibration randomness on peak surface acceleration
The randomness of artificial seismic vibration has important influences on the peak value of ground acceleration. Based on the results of soil layer shear wave velocity and soil body nonlinear statistics, three soil layer seismic response models are ...

Study on the Seismic Effect of the Pebble Soil Site in the Zhongwei Basin
Based on a large amount of drilling and geophysical exploration work in the Zhongwei Basin, and combined with the collected borehole data of a seismic safety assessment, this paper summarizes and builds 16 typical pebble soil layer calculation models ...

A Centrifuge Model Test of the Ground Motion Response in a Moderately Stiff Soil
The ground motion response in a moderately stiff soil in seismic events has been traditionally studied based on the actual field records which, however, have yet to offer consistent results regarding the amplification effect of the ground motion.
