Accelerating decay with acceleration
We investigate accelerated Unruh-deWitt detectors as a model for particle decay. We find non-trivial decay rates, including a pattern of peaks in decay rate that extends to lower accelerations. Applying our model to the alpha decay of $\mathrm{^{210}Po}$, we find that effects could be observed with an acceleration of $a\approx 10^{26} \frac{\mathrm{m}}{

Piezoelectric Accelerator [PDF]
AbstractHere we propose the conception of small-size piezoelectric accelerator of charged particles that operates due to the piezoelectric effect at varying mechanical force applied to piezoelectrics in vacuum. The accelerating voltage and the energy of accelerated particles are estimated.

Masked Accelerators and Instruction Set Extensions for Post-Quantum Cryptography
Side-channel attacks can break mathematically secure cryptographic systems leading to a major concern in applied cryptography. While the cryptanalysis and security evaluation of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) have already received an increasing research

Diploma or Dropout - it is argued, whether graduation is more important than a successful startup. Students drop either college or their ideas. A presented exploratory study about the incubation of technological startups among students tries to solve ...

MobileDets: Searching for Object Detection Architectures for Mobile Accelerators [PDF]
Inverted bottleneck layers, which are built upon depth-wise convolutions, have been the predominant building blocks in state-of-the-art object detection models on mobile devices.

Complexity for charged thermofield double states
We study Nielsen’s circuit complexity for a charged thermofield double state (cTFD) of free complex scalar quantum field theory in the presence of background electric field.

Is 70Zn(d,x)67Cu the Best Way to Produce 67Cu for Medical Applications?
The pair of copper radionuclides 64Cu/67Cu (T1/2 = 12. 7 h/61.8 h) allows, respectively, PET imaging and targeted beta therapy. An analysis of the different production routes of 67Cu with charged particles was performed and the reaction 70Zn(d,x) route ...

Terahertz-driven linear electron acceleration [PDF]
The cost, size and availability of electron accelerators is dominated by the achievable accelerating gradient. Conventional high-brightness radio-frequency (RF) accelerating structures operate with 30-50 MeV/m gradients. Electron accelerators driven with
