Piezoresistive Monitoring of Carbon Nanomaterial‐Reinforced Epoxy Composites Under Cyclic and Fatigue Loading: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

In Situ Amidation‐Derived Interfacial Modulation for Homogeneous Ultra‐High Nanoparticle Loading Toward Robust and Flexible Piezoelectric Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Synergistic interfacial strategy between inorganic ceramic fillers and polymer chains effectively inhibit particle aggregation and interfacial incompatibility. complex covalent and non‐covalent interfacial interactions promote superior uniformity, ultra‐high ceramic filler loading, and strong grain‐to‐grain connectivity, thereby enabling the ...

Effect of a moderate-intensity demonstration walk on accuracy of physical activity self-report. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background/Objective:Providing a demonstration of a 10-minute bout of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity (MVPA) immediately prior to subjective reporting of MVPA could influence self-reported activity by calibrating both duration and ...

Intelligent Acousto‐Electrical Metamaterials (IAM) for Sound Source Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Our proposed metamaterial concept enables sound source detection using a single material, in contrast to conventional arrays that require dozens or even hundreds of transducers. We show that the coupled acoustic–vibrational–electrical responses in piezoelectric metamaterials give rise to topology‐governed charge transport, producing distinct voltage ...

Self‐Powered Flexible Triboelectric‐Gated Ion‐Gel Transistor for Neuromorphic Tactile Sensing and Human Activity Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.
