Anatomical study of the accessory axillary vein in cadavers: a contribution to the axillary surgical approach

open access: yes, 2016
Background The axillary vein is an important blood vessel that participates in drainage of the upper limb. Some individuals present a second axillary vein (accessory axillary vein), which is an important collateral drainage path.

Overcoming Drug Resistance by Paclitaxel Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the murine triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) model, chemotherapy effectively increases tumor neoantigen burden (TNB). Here, the study constructs a liposomal nanovaccine using antigens derived from in vitro chemotherapy‐treated paclitaxel‐resistant TNBC 4T1 cells.

OAF Blocks SIAH1‐Mediated Degradation of SCPX, a Therapeutic Strategy for MASLD

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows OAF directly binds to SCPX and inhibits its interaction with the E3 ligase SIAH1, thereby protecting SCPX from ubiquitin‐dependent degradation and stabilizing its levels. This OAF‐SCPX axis represents a novel pathway in lipid homeostasis, highlighting OAF as a promising therapeutic candidate for MASLD.

A rare renal vascular variant

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Scientific Research
Renal vasculature consists of arteries and veins along with their branches and tributaries. The renal arteries usually arise from the abdominal aorta. Additional or multiple renal arteries are present in up to one-third of the population.

A Huaxian Formula Nanoformulation Confers Protection Against Acute Radiation‐Induced Lung Injury by Targeting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An inhalable, nanoengineered herbal therapy achieves protection against acute radiation‐induced lung injury via self‐assembled nanomicelle‐mediated pulmonary targeting and a previously unrecognized dual mechanism that attenuates oxidative stress while inhibiting ferroptosis in alveolar epithelial cells.

Multifunctional Nanovaccine‐Radiotherapy Synergy Drives Anti‐Tumor Immunity via Multi‐Cascade Cell Death for Pancreatic Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning‐driven transcriptomic analysis identifies FSTL3 as a key tumor‐microenvironment regulator in desmoplastic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. A cRGD‐modified liposome co‐loading gemcitabine and siFSTL3 serves as an irradiation‐triggered in situ nanovaccine. It synergizes with radiotherapy to induce ferroptosis and immunogenic cell death through

The GPX3‐VCAM1 Axis Gates Pro‐Fibrotic Tubule Cell Fate in Hyperuricemic Nephropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperuricemia induces NLRP3 inflammasome signaling activation and downregulation of GPX3 in proximal tubular epithelial cells, leading to oxidative stress–driven VCAM1 upregulation, emergence of pro‐fibrotic proximal tubule cells, macrophage recruitment, and renal fibrosis.

Renal Arterial and Venous System Variations in 1,073 Kidney Donors in Turkey

open access: yesİstanbul Medical Journal, 2021
Introduction:Renal vasculature variations are seen in both arterial and venous systems. In Turkey, 80% of kidney transplantations are performed by living donors.

Fetal accessory renal arteries and other renal anomalies

open access: yes, 2022
Background: Human kidneys develop from intermediate mesoderm, in three successive stages; pronephros, mesonephros and metanephros. The definitive kidney, which is derived from metanephros occupy sacral region initially, which ascent later, reaching the ...
