Accidental symmetries and the conformal bootstrap [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A bstractWe study an N=2$$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ supersymmetric generalization of the three-dimensional critical O(N) vector model that is described by N + 1 chiral superfields with superpotential W = g1X∑iZ12 + g2X3.

Accidental symmetries, Hilbert series, and friends [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Accidental symmetries in effective field theories can be established by computing and comparing Hilbert series. This invites us to study them with the tools of invariant theory.

Retrospective Analysis of the Pediatric Intoxication Cases

open access: yesTrends in Pediatrics, 2022
Objective: Various pharmaceuticals may be involved in pediatric intoxications, and treatment can be challenging for physicians. However knowledge of the clinical manifestations and prognosis of intoxication will be of assistance to physicians in ...

Accidental symmetries in the scalar potential of the Standard Model extended with two Higgs triplets [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 02 (2022) 059, 2021
The extension of the Standard Model (SM) with two Higgs triplets offers an appealing way to account for both tiny Majorana neutrino masses via the type-II seesaw mechanism and the cosmological matter-antimatter asymmetry via the triplet leptogenesis. In this paper, we classify all possible accidental symmetries in the scalar potential of the two-Higgs ...

Acute olanzapine toxicity in a toddler

open access: yesOpen Journal of Psychiatry and Allied Sciences, 2020
Olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication, which is approved for treatment of psychiatric illnesses among various age groups of psychiatric patients. Accidental consumption of olanzapine is uncommon among the paediatric age group.

An unusual case of orbitocranial wooden foreign body with amazing outcome: A case report

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2020
Penetrating orbitocranial injuries can present with foreign body/bodies (FBs) lodged in eye, orbit, and/or brain. But limited literatures are available about FBs lodged partly in orbit and partly intracranially.

A study about clinic-epidemiological pattern of acute poisoning in pediatric age group

open access: yesAsian Journal of Medical Sciences, 2021
Background: Poisoning is one of the most common causes for emergency hospitalization and mortality in children. Mostly it is accidental in nature and can be prevented by awareness in caregivers.

Frequency and Patterns of Unintentional Injuries among Children Aged Less than 14 Years in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, India: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2023
Introduction: Unintentional injuries occur very frequently in the paediatric age group. The major causes leading to unintentional injuries, such as poisoning, fires, drowning, and accidents, can vary according to age.

The accidental flatness constraint does not mean a wrong classical limit [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We shed some light on the reason why the accidental flatness constraint appears in certain limits of the amplitudes of covariant loop quantum gravity. We show why this constraint is harmless, by displaying how analogous accidental constraints appear in transition amplitudes of simple systems, when certain limits are considered.

Profile of “Suspected Suicide Attempters” based on variations in intent

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Psychiatry, 2020
Background: Suicide and attempted suicide are on a rise in India. Suicide attempt is an area which is well researched. However, there is a dearth of studies that focus on any other/absence of suicidal intent in “suspected suicidal attempters” (SSA).
