Cardiovascular Differences Between Cold-acclimatized and Heat-acclimatized Chickens

SUMMARY Rectal temperatures, respiratory rates, cardiac outputs, heart rates, blood pressures and pulse pressures were measured in groups of male and female adult chickens acclimatized to environments of 0°C. and 31°C. Measurements were made in the environment to which the birds were acclimatized.

To investigate acclimatization to hearing aids.Forty-eight subjects took part in a study in which hearing aid benefit was measured four times over the initial 3 mos of participation. At the start, 24 subjects were experienced hearing aid users and 24 had never worn a hearing aid before.
