Processing a Multilayer laminate sheet by accumulative roll bonding
International Journal of Applied Science and Engineering Research, 2013In this work, AA7075/AA1100 multilayer sheet has been processed by accumulative roll-bonding to a large strain followed by a T6 heat treatment. The rolling work was done at the solution temperature of AA7075. The strength, microhardness and ductility of the ARB sheet have been increased. The microstructure had a UFG structure with average grain size of

Accumulative roll-bonding: first experience with a twin-roll cast AA8006 alloy
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2004Abstract An ultra-fine grained (UFG) material was prepared from a twin-roll cast (TRC) Al–Fe–Mn–Si (AA8006) sheet using accumulative roll-bonding (ARB) process. After initial failures to achieve good sheet bonding, five cycles of ARB at 200 °C were successfully performed.

Asymmetric accumulative roll bonding of aluminium–titanium composite sheets
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2013Aluminium-titanium (Al/Ti) composite sheets were fabricated via asymmetric accumulative roll bonding (AARB), which capitalises on additional shear to enhance plastic deformation. Multi-layers of Al alloy (AA1050) and commercially-pure Ti sheets were alternatively stacked and rolled-bonded with varied roll diameter ratios (dr) ranging from 1 to 2, for ...
