The effect of temperature on the mechanical properties and forming limit diagram of aluminum strips fabricated by accumulative roll bonding process

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
Accumulative Roll Bonding (ARB) process is a new, low-cost, and applied method for obtaining nano/ultrafine-grained materials along with improvements in mechanical properties.

Affecting structure characteristics of rotary swaged tungsten heavy alloy via variable deformation temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This study focuses on numerical prediction and experimental investigation of deformation behaviour of a tungsten heavy alloy prepared via powder metallurgy and subsequent cold (20 degrees C) and warm (900 degrees C) rotary swaging.

Re‐examining investor sentiment and stock returns: A replication and extension of Baker and Wurgler (2006)

open access: yesEconomic Inquiry, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 88-119, January 2026.
Abstract This study replicates and extends Baker and Wurgler's (2006) analysis on investor sentiment's impact on stock returns. We confirm their findings by demonstrating the significant cross‐sectional effect of sentiment in both their original sample (1963–2002) and a new sample (2002–2023).

Radiation damage tolerant nanomaterials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Designing a material from the atomic level to achieve a tailored response in extreme conditions is a grand challenge in materials research. Nanostructured metals and composites provide a path to this goal because they contain interfaces that attract ...

Pricing and Hedging of SOFR Derivatives

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 36, Issue 1, Page 180-202, January 2026.
ABSTRACT The London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) has served since the 1970s as a fundamental measure for floating term rates across multiple currencies and maturities. However, in 2017, the Financial Conduct Authority announced the discontinuation of LIBOR from the end of 2021, and the New York Fed declared the Treasury repo financing rate, called ...

Simultaneously increased strength and ductility via the hierarchically heterogeneous structure of Al-Mg-Si alloys/nanocomposite

open access: yesMaterials Research Letters, 2020
The increase in strength usually accompanies with ductility loss in structural materials. We proposed a novel approach to the design and fabrication of hierarchically structured Al-Mg-Si alloys/nanocomposites with improved strength and ductility.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of friction stir welded joints made from ultrafine grained aluminium 1050 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In order to obtain ultrafine grained structure, commercially pure aluminium (Al 1050) plates were subjected up to 8 passes of Incremental Equal Channel Angular Pressing (IECAP) following route C.

Disruption of Gut Microbiota‐Mediated De Novo NAD+ Synthesis Contributes to the Development of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 45, December 4, 2025.
This study demonstrates that patients with PCOS exhibit altered gut microbial profiles, and FMT from PCOS patients induces PCOS‐like symptoms in mice. Specifically, gut dysbiosis reduces 3‐HAA levels in the context of PCOS. Administration of 3‐HAA to mice alleviates PCOS by promoting de novo NAD+ synthesis.

Ten years of severe plastic deformation (SPD) in Iran, part II: accumulative roll bonding (ARB)

open access: yes, 2018
The present paper is the second part of a previously published overview entitled “ten years of severe plastic deformation (SPD) in Iran”. Part I concentrates on the equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). In this part, the focus is on the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) because, currently, Iran is ranked the first in the world by the total number of ...

Influence of an accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process on the properties of AA5083 Al-Mg alloy sheets

open access: yesMetallurgical and Materials Engineering, 2014
In this study, fully annealed AA5083 type alloy sheets with 1 mm in thickness were processed by accumulative roll bonding (ARB) at room temperature, up to 6 ARB cycles. It was found that microstructure was refined and mechanical properties were significantly improved with ARB processing. The maximum achieved values of hardness and tensile strength were
