Accumulative Roll Bonding of Aluminum/Stainless Steel Sheets [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Ultrafine Grained and Nanostructured Materials, 2017
An Al/Stainless Steel/Al lamellar composite was produced by roll bonding of the starting sheets at 400 °C. Afterward, the roll bonded sheet was cut in half and the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process at room temperature was applied seven times.

Anisotropic Behavior of Al1050 through Accumulative Roll Bonding. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2021
In this study, Al1050 sheets were fabricated in five passes using the accumulative roll bonding (ARB) technique. For a more accurate and complete investigation, different tests were used, including a uniaxial tensile test. The results show that elongation increases about 50% for the annealed sample, which is 2.5 times that of the fifth pass (20%).

Interfacial Bonding and Fracture Behaviors of AZ63 Magnesium Alloy Sheet Processed by Accumulative Roll Bonding. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2023
In order to understand the strengthening and the failure mechanism of accumulative roll bonding (ARB)-processed AZ63 Mg alloy, the interfacial bonding and fracture behavior of an ARB-processed AZ63 sheet were studied through electron microscopic analysis.

Thermal Conductivity of an AZ31 Sheet after Accumulative Roll Bonding [PDF]

open access: yesCrystals, 2018
Accumulative roll bonding (ARB) is one of the methods of severe plastic deformation which is relevant for industrial production of sheets. While mechanical properties of several magnesium alloys subjected to the ARB process have been studied, the ...

Fabrication of ultra-thin nanostructured bimetallic foils by Accumulative Roll Bonding and Asymmetric Rolling. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2013
This paper reports a new technique that combines the features of Accumulative Roll Bonding (ARB) and Asymmetric Rolling (AR). This technique has been developed to enable production of ultra-thin bimetallic foils. Initially, 1.5 mm thick AA1050 and AA6061 foils were roll-bonded using ARB at 200°C, with 50% reduction. The resulting 1.5 mm bimetallic foil

Annealing Effects in Twin-Roll Cast AA8006 Aluminium Sheets Processed by Accumulative Roll-Bonding. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2014
Ultrafine grained sheets were prepared from a twin-roll cast AA8006 aluminium alloy using accumulative roll-bonding process at room temperature. The evolution of microstructure of sheets after three accumulative roll-bonding passes during isochronal annealing with a constant step of 20 °C/20 min was studied by light and electron microscopy.
