The title compound, C14H23NO, the cyanohydrin of dicyclohexyl ketone, was prepared as an intermediate in the synthesis of dicyclohexyl(hydroxy)acetic acid. The cyclohexyl rings adopt chair conformations. The central C atom is in a slightly distorted tetrahedral environment of three C atoms and one O atom.
