Dicyclohexyl(hydroxy)acetonitrile

open access: greenActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2007
The title compound, C14H23NO, the cyanohydrin of dicyclohexyl ketone, was prepared as an intermediate in the synthesis of dicyclohexyl(hydroxy)acetic acid. The cyclohexyl rings adopt chair conformations. The central C atom is in a slightly distorted tetrahedral environment of three C atoms and one O atom.

Kinetics of CxNy formation on electrode surface using the electrochemical method [PDF]

open access: yesScience of Sintering, 2008
Powded CxNy coatings were deposited from acetonitrile on Ni, Si, and C surfaces at a voltage 500-2000 V by the electrochemical method. Electrolysis products were analyzed by IR spectroscopy, X-ray phase analysis and electron microscopy. According to FTIR

Seasonal and Spatial Variability in the Biogenic Production and Consumption of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) by Marine Plankton in the North Atlantic Ocean

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2020
Marine-derived volatile organic compounds (VOCs) influence global carbon cycling, atmospheric reactions, and climate. Yet, the biogenic production (sources) and consumption (sink) rates of marine VOCs are not well-constrained and are currently excluded ...

Synthesis, Characterization, and Theoretical Study of Novel Charge-Transfer Complexes Derived from 3,4-Selenadiazobenzophenone

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2022
In the current study, a direct method was used to synthesize a new series of charge-transfer complex compounds. Reaction of different quinones with 3,4-selenadiazo benzophenone in a 1:1 mole ratio by acetonitrile gave a unique charge-transfer complex ...
