Nickel-Catalyzed Cyanation of Aryl Triflates Using Acetonitrile as a Cyano Source
In classic cyanation reactions, toxic metal cyanide sources or complex organic cyanide sources are often used. Therefore, it is particularly important to develop a green and economical cyano source.

Inhibiting effect of acetonitrile on oxygen reduction on polycrystalline pt electrode in sodium chloride solution [PDF]
The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) was studied on the polycrystalline Pt electrode in 0.1 M NaCl electrolyte containing various amounts of acetonitrile (AcN).

Calcium batteries: synergistic effects of Ca(BF4)2 and acetonitrile for calcium deposition/stripping
Details of the interfacial reactions at calcium metal electrodes using three different electrolytes—Ca(BF _4 ) _2 or Ca(TFSI) _2 in acetonitrile (ACN), and Ca(BF _4 ) _2 in an ethylene carbonate: propylene carbonate (EC:PC) mixture—are here revealed ...

Comparative study of micellization and surface properties of cationic and anionic surfactants in acetonitrile - water mixed media [PDF]
A comparative study was conducted to investigate the micellization behaviour, surface properties and wettability of the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) in acetonitrile ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
