2-(1-Hydroxypropyn-2-yl)-1-vinylpyrroles: the first successful Favorsky ethynylation of pyrrolecarbaldehydes

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
1-Vinylpyrrole-2-carbaldehydes react with acetylene at atmospheric pressure in a NaOH/EtOH/DMSO system at 7–10 °C to afford 2-(1-hydroxypropyn-2-yl)-1-vinylpyrroles in 53–94% yield.

Effect of C2H2/H2 Gas Mixture Ratio in Direct Low-Temperature Vacuum Carburization

open access: yesMetals, 2018
The effect of the acetylene and hydrogen gases mixture ratios in direct low-temperature vacuum carburization was investigated. The gas ratio is an important parameter for producing free radicals in carburization.

Heteronanoarchitecture of Ti3C2Tx MXene and Amorphous MOF for Exceptional Durability in Electro‐Ionic Soft Actuator

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The nanoscale hybridization of MXene and amorphous metal‐organic framework (MXene–aMOF) achieves exceptional electrochemical stability and ion storage capacity, attributed to the synergistic interplay between the nanoporous surfaces of aMOF and the metal‐like electron conduction of MXene.

Infrared Spectrum of Acetylene*

open access: yesJournal of the Optical Society of America, 1956
The infrared absorption spectrum of C2H2 has been studied in the region from 2500 to 4150 cm−1. Nineteen bands were observed, of which 11 were sufficiently intense and well resolved to permit rotational analysis. Five bands involving the ground vibrational state were analyzed giving the rotational constants B0=1.17654±0.00004 and D0=1.51±0.03×10−6 cm−1.

Ultrafast Isomerization in Acetylene Dication: To Be or Not To Be [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Experimental evidence has pointed toward the existence of ultrafast proton migration and isomerization as a key process for acetylene and its ions, however the actual mechanism for ultrafast isomerization of the acetylene [HCCH]2+ to vinylidene [H2CC]2+ dication remains nebulous.
