Effect of terracotta drinker and/or water addition of ASPRO‐C plus on behavior, growth, and physiological response of broiler chickens exposed to high temperature

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 206-216, May 2025.
Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a terracotta drinker and/or water supplementation with ASPRO‐C Plus on the zootechnical performance of broiler chickens reared in a hot environment. A total of 160 Cobb 500 broiler chicks of 15 days old (240.2 ± 39.82 g) were divided into four treatment groups in a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement of ...

Canine platelets express functional Toll-like receptor-4: lipopolysaccharide-triggered platelet activation is dependent on adenosine diphosphate and thromboxane A2 in dogs. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BackgroundFunctional Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) has been characterized in human and murine platelets indicating that platelets play a role in inflammation and hemostasis during sepsis. It is unclear whether canine platelets could express functional TLR4

Electropolymerized Molecularly Imprinted Poly(L‐Phenylalanine) Modified Lab‐Made Screen‐Printed Carbon Electrode for Voltammetric Analysis of Acetaminophen

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 37, Issue 5, May 2025.
A selective molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) sensor was constructed on a lab‐made screen‐printed carbon electrode (SPCE) for the electrochemical determination of acetaminophen (AP). The MIP sensor was prepared by direct electropolymerization of the L‐phenylalanine on SPCE in the presence of the template molecule (AP).

Comprehensive Genome‐Wide Analysis and Expression Profiling of Pathogenesis‐Related Protein 1 (PR‐1) Genes in Salvia miltiorrhiza

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2025.
This study identified 11 SmPR‐1 genes in Salvia miltiorrhiza, which play crucial roles in plant defense and stress response. Expression profiling and subcellular localization of SmPR‐1‐5 suggest its involvement in intracellular signaling, and CMV infection triggers specific gene activation patterns.
