Use of acetylsalicylic acid and agronomic performance of potatoes in Lima region
Background Salicylic acid participates in the regulation of the plant's response to a series of environmental stresses such as extreme temperatures, salinity, and oxidative condition of potato growth, so it is necessary to determine a safe application ...

Model mass spectrometric study of competitive interactions of antimicrobial bisquaternary ammonium drugs and aspirin with membrane phospholipids [PDF]
The aim of the study is to reveal molecular mechanisms of possible activity modulation of antimicrobial bis-quaternary ammonium compounds (BQAC) and aspirin (ASP) through noncovalent competitive complexation under their combined introduction into the ...

Interaction of solid organic acids with carbon nanotube field effect transistors [PDF]
A series of solid organic acids were used to p-dope carbon nanotubes. The extent of doping is shown to be dependent on the pKa value of the acids. Highly fluorinated carboxylic acids and sulfonic acids are very effective in shifting the threshold voltage and making carbon nanotube field effect transistors to be more p-type devices.

Comparative Bioavailability Study of Two 81 mg Coated Tablet Formulations of Acetylsalicylic Acid in Fasting Healthy Volunteers [PDF]
Introduction: Low-dose acetylsalicylic acid is used as antithrombotic agent and the enteric-coated formulations are widely used to minimize the gastrointestinal side effects. Aim: To compare the bioavailability of two acetylsalicylic acid formulations

Ab initio Study of Aspirin Adsorption on Single-walled Carbon and Carbon Nitride Nanotubes [PDF]
We use ab intio density functional theory to investigate the adsorption properties of acetylsalicylic acid or aspirin on a (10, 0) carbon nanotube (CNT) and a (8, 0) triazine-based graphitic carbon nitride nanotube (CNNT). It is found that an aspirin molecule binds stronger to the CNNT with its adsorption energy of 0.67 eV than to the CNT with 0.51 eV.
