Effect of the time-point of acid etching on the persistence of sealer residues after using different dental cleaning protocols

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2016
: Endodontic sealer residues remaining within the pulp chamber dentin after root canal obturation and cleaning with various solvents may compromise the appearance and the durability of dental restorations.

Al2O3 Particles on Titanium Dental Implant Systems following Sandblasting and Acid-Etching Process

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biomaterials, 2019
Dental implants with moderately rough surfaces show enhanced osseointegration and faster bone healing compared with machined surfaces. The sandblasting and acid-etching (SA) process is one technique to create moderately rough dental implant surfaces.

CHANGES ON DENTAL ENAMEL AFTER ACID ETCHING

open access: yesContemporary Materials, 2016
Etch of enamel produces pores, where subsequently resin or adhesive system infiltrate. Silvestrone has established different morphological forms of etched enamel. Enamel surface, after being treated with phosphoric acid, has been demineralized in thickness of 5-10 μm, and that is enamel etched area.

THE EFFECT OF ACID ETCHING TREATMENT ON SURFACE PROPERTIES OF DENTAL HARD TISSUE

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Oral Rehabilitation
Our study aims to investigate the acid etching treatment effects applied on dental structures, considering their surface properties. We have used a liquid PA in a concentration of 36.1% wt. (36.1% PA) and a gel PA with 35% wt. (35% PA) active compound as etching agents. These substances were applied to the human teeth for a maximum of 15 seconds.

The effects of acid etching time on surface mechanical properties of dental hard tissues

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2015
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of etching time on the surface properties of dental hard tissues including enamel and dentin. For this purpose, samples were prepared using extracted human teeth and treated with 37% phosphoric acid for various length of time using the set protocol.

Effect of the Acid-Etching on Grit-Blasted Dental Implants to Improve Osseointegration: Histomorphometric Analysis of the Bone-Implant Contact in the Rabbit Tibia Model

open access: yesCoatings, 2021
Previous studies have shown that the most reliable way to evaluate the success of an implant is by bone-to-implant contact (BIC). Recent techniques allow modifications to the implant surface that improve mechanical and biological characteristics, and ...

Blood Wettability of Different Dental Implant Surfaces after Different Pre-Treatments: Ultrasonic Instrumentation, Platelet-Rich Fibrin Coating, and Acid Etching. An In Vitro Study

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Background: The blood wettability of titanium implant surfaces favors primary osseointegration and tissue healing in peri-implantitis. The current study aims to evaluate this property on the main different kinds of surfaces, brand new and after ...

Intelligent modeling and optimization of titanium surface etching for dental implant application

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Acid-etching is one of the most popular processes for the surface treatment of dental implants. In this paper, acid-etching of commercially pure titanium (cpTi) in a 48% H2SO4 solution is investigated.

Classification review of dental adhesive systems: from the IV generation to the universal type [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Adhesive dentistry has undergone great progress in the last decades. In light of minimal-invasive dentistry, this new approach promotes a more conservative cavity design, which relies on the effectiveness of current enamel-dentine adhesives.
