Fabrication of High‐Density Multimodal Neural Probes Based on Heterogeneously Integrated CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A chiplet‐based methodology democratizes active neural probe development on standard bulk CMOS services. This yields the first probe combining high‐density electrophysiology (416 electrodes) with calcium imaging (832 photodiodes) and complete on‐chip signal processing across 13 shanks.

Dental enamel roughness with different acid etching times: Atomic force microscopy study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of General Dentistry, 2012
Abstract Objective: An important characteristic of human dental enamel not yet studied in detail is its surface roughness in mesoscopic scale. This study evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively the surface topography of acid etched enamel with different etching times.

Atomically precise metal cluster enzymes for pathological tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of atomically precise metal cluster enzymes (MCEs) for pathological tissue regeneration. Atomically precise MCEs can modulate biological processes, such as attenuation of inflammatory responses, eradication of bacterial pathogens, regulation of angiogenesis, and promotion of cell development.

Biofilm removal capacity and titanium surface integrity in non‐abrasive versus abrasive peri‐implantitis cleaning interventions

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Current peri‐implantitis treatment methods are modeled after dental cleaning modalities like abrasive surface cleaning. However, mechanical abrasive cleaning not only inadequately removes implant biofilms but also compromises implant surface integrity with adverse biological effects.

Effect of Phosphoric Acid on the Self Etching Primer Bond Strength and its Relation to Oral Health Status [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 2005
Self etching primers, due to ease of manipulation, have been extensively used in recent years. These self etching primers containing a relatively weak acid, may not provide an optimal bond strength.

Etching on the edge: enamel loss under repeated and active HCl applications as a resin infiltration pretreatment

open access: yesJournal of Applied Oral Science
Considering that a single passive application of hydrochloric acid (HCl) as a resin infiltration pretreatment can remove between 20 and 45 µm of enamel and cause etching that extends up to 2 mm beyond the white spot lesions (WSLs), it is plausible that ...

Peri‐implant disease pathogenesis animal models: Consensus report of Workgroup 1 of the IADR Implantology Research Group Best Evidence Consensus Symposium on Peri‐Implant Disease and Its Treatment

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The pathogenesis and etiology of peri‐implantitis demand a deeper understanding to lead to successful treatment modalities. Animal models of peri‐implantitis pathogenesis offer unique insights but their translational impact requires consideration of implant biomaterials science.
