Gas chromatographic analysis of dialkylbarbituric acids
Journal of Chromatography A, 1976A variety of procedures for the derivatization of barbituric acids for gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) are described and a convenient procedure for n-alkylation of barbiturates is reported. The gas chromatographic behavior of derivatives(methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl and hexyl) is discussed on the basis of the retention index.

Gas Chromatographic Determination of Hydrazoic Acid
Journal of Chromatographic Science, 1976A gas chromatographic procedure was developed for the determination of hydrazoic acid. Two possible columns were evaluated. The limits of detectability were 1.5 ng, or approximately 0.05%, in aqueous solution (w/v) and 2 mg per liter in air.

Aromatic acids without phenolic groups are converted to their methyl esters by reaction with ethereal diazomethane and chromatographed on an 8% ethylene glycol adipate column at 170°C.
