A characteristic analysis between acidolysis gas and absorbed gas and its application to gas source correlation in Mao 1 member, Fuling area, Sichuan Basin

open access: yesNatural Gas Industry B, 2020
The acidolysis gas in source rocks is the desorbed hydrocarbon gas in non-connected pores and carbonate crystal lattice, while the absorbed gas lies in the connected pores and is absorbed by surface.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Effect of dietary formic acid on the in vitro ruminal fermentation parameters of barley-based concentrated mix feed of beef cattle

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2018
This study aimed to determine the effect of 0 (FA0) and 1, 2, 4 or 8 mL/kg (FA1, FA2, FA4 and FA8) formic acid addition to barley-based concentrated mix feed on in vitro gas kinetics [gas production from quickly soluble fraction (agas), gas production ...

Feasibility study on application of volume acid fracturing technology to tight gas carbonate reservoir development

open access: yesPetroleum, 2015
How to effectively develop tight-gas carbonate reservoir and achieve high recovery is always a problem for the oil and gas industry. To solve this problem, domestic petroleum engineers use the combination of the successful experiences of North American ...

Electronic and optical properties of 5-AVA-functionalized BN nanoclusters: A DFT study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We carried out detailed density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations upon 5-aminolevulinic acid-functionalized B12N12 and B16N16 nanoclusters with the B3LYP, B3PW91, and PBE methods using the 6-311+G∗∗

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Experimental study of the role of physicochemical surface processing on the IN ability of mineral dust particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
During the measurement campaign FROST 2 (FReezing Of duST 2), the Leipzig Aerosol Cloud Interaction Simulator (LACIS) was used to investigate the influence of various surface modifications on the ice nucleating ability of Arizona Test Dust (ATD ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
