IMPROVEMENT OF THE TECHNOLOGY FOR SURFACTANT SYNTHESIS BY Acinetobacter calcoaceticus ІМV В-7241 [PDF]
The aim of the work was to intensify the synthesis of surfactants by Acinetobacter calcoaceticus IMV-7241 cultivated on ethanol and other carbon substrates. A. calcoaceticus IMV-7241 was grown in the medium with mono- (ethanol, glycerol, liquid paraffin,

ABSTRACT Antimicrobial resistance is a growing concern, especially in regions with intense agricultural production. This study investigates the presence of antimicrobial‐resistant bacteria in Caramuru, Espírito Santo state, a rural district focused on large‐scale agricultural production in Brazil. Samples of water, soil, animal faeces and environmental

Transposon mutagenesis in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus RAG-1 [PDF]
Molecular genetic studies of Acinetobacter spp. have been greatly limited by the lack of a method for transposon mutagenesis. In this study, a genetically engineered derivative of Tn10, mini-Tn10PttKm, was conjugally transferred in plate matings from Escherichia coli SM10[(lambda pir)(pLOFPttKm)] to Acinetobacter calcoaceticus RAG-1.

Pyrolyzed Walnut Shell‐Based Flexible Electrodes for Magnetically Triggered ON/OFF DNA Release
A magnetically actuated DNA release system using walnut shell‐derived electrodes enables ON/OFF switching of electron transfer by controlling DNA hybridization with magnetic beads. A magnetically gated, enzymatically driven DNA release platform based on sustainable pyrolyzed walnut shell‐derived carbon electrodes is reported.
