Insertional specificity of transposon Tn5 in Acinetobacter sp [PDF]
Suicide plasmid pJB4JI, containing transposon Tn5 and phage Mu, was introduced from Escherichia coli 1830 into Acinetobacter sp. strain HO1-N and Acinetobacter calcoaceticus BD413. Kanamycin-resistant (Kmr) exconjugants of HO1-N and BD413, isolated on complex medium, were screened for auxotrophic requirements.

Acinetobacter uliginosus sp. nov. and Acinetobacter halobius sp. nov. isolated from soil. [PDF]
Two bacterial strains, designated BSP-53 T and BSP-153 T , were isolated from soil samples collected from Beijing Olympic Forest Park, China. Phylogenomic reconstruction based on core genes robustly positioned the strains as two distinct evolutionary ...

Acinetobacter ursingii sp. nov. and Acinetobacter schindleri sp. nov., isolated from human clinical specimens. [PDF]
The taxonomic status of two recently described phenetically distinctive groups within the genus Acinetobacter, designated phenon 1 and phenon 2, was investigated further. The study collection included 51 strains, mainly of clinical origin, from different European countries with properties of either phenon 1 (29 strains) or phenon 2 (22 strains).

Genetic transformation of Acinetobacter sp.strain AZS1 bacteria by bacterial plasmids of Bacillus sp. strain JA Leaves and Bacillus sp. strain JA seed using conjugation technique [PDF]
This study used Bacillus sp. strain JA Leaves, Bacillus sp. strain JA seed and Acinetobacter sp.strain AZS1, as the strains belonging to the genus Bacillus were sensitive to antibiotic 10 µg / ml-1 gentamicin and had the ability to grow on nitrogen-

In this study, a biosurfactant-producing strain Y2 was isolated from hydraulic fracturing flowback and produced water (HF-FPW) and identified as Acinetobacter sp. The biosurfactant produced by Y2 could reduce surface tension of water from 72.2 mN/m to 30.
