Deciphering Intricacies in Directional CO2 Conversion From Electrolysis to CO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review will delve into the inherent connections and distinctions of CO2‐directed conversion in ECO2RR and CO2 batteries, in terms of product types, catalyst selection, catalytic mechanisms, and electrochemical performances, while proposing a benchmarking framework for the evaluation of CO2 batteries and innovative CO2 battery configurations for ...

Separating Hydrogen Evolution From Electroplating in Zn Metal Batteries Using Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Operando SECM decouples hydrogen evolution from other degradation pathways in Zn metal batteries by quantifying its contribution during Zn electrodeposition. Although HER is shown to account for only a minor fraction of the irreversible charge loss, it remains a key indicator of interfacial evolution and by‐product formation governing cycling ...

Increased Risk of Exacerbation in Asthma Predominant Asthma–Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Overlap Syndrome

open access: yesTuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, 2018
Background Obstructive airway disease patients with increased variability of airflow and incompletely reversible airflow obstruction are often categorized as having asthma–chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) overlap syndrome (ACOS).

Cristid obliqua morphology as a correlate of diet in lorisoids

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Methods for elucidating dietary patterns from dental morphology have provided much insight into molar form, function, and diet in extinct taxa. However, many methods rely on the collection of homologous landmarks (like shearing crest lengths), or computationally intensive and nuanced metrics that capture shape (like dental topography). Here, a

The Impact of ACOs on Health Disparities for Socially Vulnerable Patients:

open access: yes, 2023
This project will determine the impact of ACOs on disparities in health outcomes and Medicare spending, and the heterogeneity of impact across ACOs, using difference-in-differences (DD) analyses of Medicare claims data from 2010 to ...

The Strategic Role of Sustainability Certifications: A Multi‐Theoretical Framework and Comparative Analysis in the Global Wine Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability certifications are increasingly embedded in the governance and competitiveness of the wine sector, yet their strategic role remains under‐theorised. This study conceptualises certifications as multidimensional strategic mechanisms and conducts a comparative analysis of 50 schemes used in the global wine industry.

Primary Care Clinics and Accountable Care Organizations

open access: yesHealth Services Research & Managerial Epidemiology, 2015
Background: The Accountable Care Organization (ACO) is one of the new models of health care delivery in the United States. To date, little is known about the characteristics of health care organizations that have joined ACOs. We report on the findings of

Oxidation of Allylic Alcohols by Manganese Oxides: Elucidating the Influences of MnOx Structure and Mn Oxidation State on Reactivity

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Manganese oxides (MnOX) of different structures and with different Mn oxidation states exhibit significant variation in their reactivity toward the oxidation of allylic alcohols. Using two allylic alcohol model substrates, we demonstrate the relationship between activity and MnOX structure, Mn4+ content and incorporated secondary cations.
