Influence investigation of electromagnetic-acoustic transducer parameters on thickness measurement accuracy by numerical modeling methods

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики
The electromagnetic-acoustic method is applied in the control of the electrically conductive products thickness. This method is based on the electrodynamic interaction of eddy currents induced in an electrically conductive material with an external ...

Architecture and School: an approach about physical and educational space in teaching processes/Arquitetura e Escola: uma abordagem do espaço físico educacional colaborador dos processos de ensino

open access: yesDiversitas Journal, 2020
Primary childhood education, as a social promoter, has required the elaboration of spaces in which everyone has access, and this has significantly altered the functioning of these institutions.

Stability of (Mg,Fe)SiO3 perovskite and the structure of the lowermost mantle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Thermodynamic analysis shows that (Mg,Fe)SiO3 perovskite is stable throughout the likely pressure, temperature and compositional regime of the Earth's mantle.

Strong and weak head-related transfer functions: The eHRTF analytical framework [PDF]

open access: yesJASA Express Letters
This article introduces an analytical framework for modeling head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) from a listener-centered perspective. The distinction between strong (or general) HRTFs, aiming for idealized physical acoustic fidelity, and weak (or ...

Architectural Indoor Analysis: A Holistic Approach to Understand the Relation of Higher Education Classrooms and Academic Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The influence of learning space on users has been broadly accepted and tested. However, the literature has focused on single factor research, instead of holistic approaches.

Local Thermal Conductivity Patterning in Rotating Lattice Crystals of Anisotropic Sb2S3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microscale control of thermal conductivity in Sb2S3 is demonstrated via laser‐induced rotating lattice crystals. Thermal conductivity imaging reveals marked thermal transport anisotropy, with the c axis featuring amorphous‐like transport, whereas in‐plane directions (a, b) exhibit 3.5x and 1.7x larger thermal conductivity.

Study of capabilities of hybrid scheme for advection terms approximation in mathematical models of compressible flows

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
The hybrid method for approximation of advective terms is proposed in order to resolve flows in the wide Mach numbers region. This hybrid method is based on the Kurganov-Tadmor (KT) scheme and projection method PISO (Pressure Implicit with Splitting ...

The bag-of-frames approach: a not so sufficient model for urban soundscapes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The "bag-of-frames" approach (BOF), which encodes audio signals as the long-term statistical distribution of short-term spectral features, is commonly regarded as an effective and sufficient way to represent environmental sound recordings (soundscapes ...

Prevalence and characteristics of tinnitus after leisure noise exposure in young adults [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The main goal of this study was to assess the prevalence and characteristics of tinnitus among students after exposure to leisure noise. In addition, the effects of tinnitus on otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) in participants suffering from chronic tinnitus ...

Engineering a Sonotherapeutic RBC Membrane‐Derived Nanoparticle Platform for the Treatment of Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, an RBC membrane‐derived nanoparticle (CMN‐ICG) is engineered to efficiently deliver a sonosensitizing agent, indocyanine green (ICG), for sonotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). CMN‐ICG exhibits excellent cytocompatibility, significantly enhances hepatocyte uptake, and produces excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) upon ultrasound ...
