Enhancing ultrasound transmission through an aberration layer exhibiting mismatched impedance with the surrounding medium possesses great implications in imaging and treatment. In this study, we show that a space‐coiling acoustic metamaterial with judiciously tailored structural profile can help improve impedance matching.

Acoustic Localization By Interaural Level Difference [PDF]
Interaural level difference (ILD) is an important cue for acoustic localization. Although its behavior has been studied extensively in natural systems, it remains an untapped resource for computer-based systems. We investigate the possibility of using ILD for acoustic localization, deriving constraints on the location of a sound source given the ...

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Voronoi acoustic source localization mechanism based on counter captured time difference
An acoustic source localization protocol based on counter captured time difference was presented. It can drive the sensors in network to “sleep”in most of the time, so as to achieve energy saving obviously.
