LOCALLY LOCALIZED GRAVITY [PDF]
We study the fluctuation spectrum of linearized gravity around non-fine-tuned branes. We focus on the case of an AdS 4 brane in AdS 5. In this case, for small cosmological constant, the warp factor near the brane is essentially that of a Minkowski brane. However, far from the brane, the metric differs substantially.

A localization of a category \({\mathcal A}\) is a reflective subcategory \({\mathcal C}\to {\mathcal A}\) with left exact reflector \(r: {\mathcal A}\to {\mathcal C}\). It is well known that in certain cases the localizations of \({\mathcal A}\), Loc \({\mathcal A}\), (ordered by inclusion of subcategories), forms the dual of a locale.

On Locality of Local Explanation Models
Shapley values provide model agnostic feature attributions for model outcome at a particular instance by simulating feature absence under a global population distribution. The use of a global population can lead to potentially misleading results when local model behaviour is of interest.

Aim: Whether, under all the circumstances considered, a relativistic concept of locality and non-locality may fully reproduce the quantum probabilities for outcomes of experiments, is re-investigated.Methods: The usual methods and rules of statistics, probability theory and quantum mechanics were used.

The role of local steps in local SGD
We consider the distributed stochastic optimization problem where $n$ agents want to minimize a global function given by the sum of agents' local functions, and focus on the heterogeneous setting when agents' local functions are defined over non-i.i.d. data sets.

Local and 2-Local Derivations of Locally Simple Lie Algebras
In the present paper, we study local and 2-local derivations of the classical locally simple Lie algebras. Firstly, we prove that every local and 2-local derivations on classical locally simple Lie algebra is a derivation. Further, we show that every local derivation of Borel subalgebras of locally simple Lie algebras is a derivation.

Translating submachine locality into locality of reference [PDF]
Summary form only given. The design of algorithms exhibiting a high degree of temporal and spatial locality of reference is crucial to attain good performance on current and foreseeable computing systems featuring ever deeper memory hierarchies. Previous work has demonstrated that task parallelism can be efficiently transformed into locality of ...

Localization Regions of Local Observables [PDF]
Exploiting the properties of the Jost-Lehmann-Dyson representation, it is shown that in 1+2 or more spacetime dimensions, a nonempty smallest localization region can be associated with each local observable (except for the c-numbers) in a theory of local observables in the sense of Araki, Haag, and Kastler. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given

Local DCPOs, Local CPOs and Local Completions
AbstractWe use a subfamily of the Scott-closed sets of a poset to form a local completion of the poset. This is simultaneously a topological analogue of the ideal completion of a poset and a generalization of the sobrification of a topological space. After we show that our construction is the object level of a left adjoint to the forgetful functor from

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
