Ultrasensitive Anti‐Stokes Luminescence Thermometry in Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers
We demonstrate a highly sensitive nanothermometer using anti‐Stokes photoluminescence, also known as photoluminescence upconversion (UPL), in monolayer tungsten disulfide. A strong resonantly enhanced UPL is observed, confirming the central role of optical phonons in the PL upconversion mechanism.

Quaternion-Based Acoustic SLAM for 3D Drone Localization and Source Mapping
Accurate localization and mapping are challenging in environments with poor visibility or noise interference, such as underwater, at night, or in fog, where visual data are unreliable or limited.

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

EchoSLAM: Simultaneous localization and mapping with acoustic echoes
We address the problem of jointly localizing a robot in an unknown room and estimating the room geometry from echoes. Unlike earlier work using echoes, we assume a completely autonomous setup with (near) collocated microphone and the acoustic source.

Relying on critical articulators to estimate vocal tract spectra in an articulatory-acoustic database [PDF]
We present a new phone-dependent feature weighting scheme that can be used to map articulatory configurations (e.g. EMA) onto vocal tract spectra (e.g. MFCC) through table lookup.

Robust 3D-Mapping with Time-of-Flight Cameras
Time-of-Flight cameras constitute a smart and fast technology for 3D perception but lack in measurement precision and robustness. We present a comprehensive approach for 3D environment mapping based on this technology.

Optimization of passive acoustic bedload monitoring in rivers by signal inversion [PDF]
Recent studies have shown that hydrophone sensors can monitor bedload flux in rivers by measuring the self-generated noise (SGN) emitted by bedload particles when they impact the riverbed. However, experimental and theoretical studies have shown that the
