Static Acoustic-Immittance Measurements

The basic principles of deriving static acoustic-immittance measurements in human ears are presented. Problems caused by differences in instrumentation, computations, and measurement technique are discussed in terms of the utility and comparisons of static acoustic-immittance measurements.

Amplitude measurement in acoustic emission

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1985
A circuit capable of measuring the amplitude of continuous emission and acoustic bursts is presented. The circuit shows linear behavior (+/−5%) over a dynamic range in excess of 65 dB, for frequencies up to 250 KHz. Possible applications are discussed.

A Method of Measuring Acoustic Impedance

An apparatus s described whereby acoustic impedances may be measured in terms of a known acoustic impedance and the complex ratios of two electrical potentiometer readings to a third. As a known impedance, there is chosen the reactance of a closed tube of uniform bore which is an eighth wave-length long.
