Acoustic resonance spectra of a finite cylindrical shell [PDF]
Previous studies have explained acoustic scattering from an infinite cylinder or a sphere. The scattering depends strongly on resonances that are related to the propagation of circumferential waves when the acoustic axis is perpendicular to the cylinder axis or the propagation of guided waves when the insonification is oblique.
